Today we made our Rocket blast off!

We filled the inside of our rocket with vinegar and baking soda.

This caused a reaction and created a gas that made our rocket blast off really high!

Literacy Time in Room 10

Making the basic words I am learning
to read with magnetic letters.

I have painted a picture and I am
arranging a cut up sentence so it makes sense.

We are writing stories all by ourselves.   

                                                                           

        We are making words we are 
        learning to read and write with pipecleaners.

We have been using the iPads during Literacy Time to read and write rhyming words and basic words.

Max has used Pic Collage on the iPad to make a poster
of the 'at' words
he found around the room.


 

Aquilino is learning to read and write the basic words. 

 In Maths we are learning to classify objects into groups and then to put them into a graph.
Here we are sorting animals into groups so each group has animals that are the same.

On Tuesday we had a book-nic. Our parents came to read to us and listen to us read over lunch.

Book Week Parade

On Friday we finished Book Week with a dress up parade. We saw Princesses, Super Heroes, Cats in the Hat, and many other book characters made from recycled materials.

Wonderment and Awe

Wow!!! Wonderment and Awe started last week. All of the children in the Junior School had the chance to discover, create and wonder about many different activities.
